ERFAN Secretariat, in collaboration with the OIE Reference Laboratory for Contagious Agalactia at the IZS of Sicily, organises the training course on “Mycoplasma isolation and AMR detection (MIC)”.

This course intends to offer a sufficient knowledge and practical training, skills and competences required for successful isolation of Mycoplasma agalactiae and phenotypic detection of anti-microbial resistance.

Designed workflow starts with technical and experience details, from practical farm visit and sampling (clinical examination, udder sanitization, sample collection), laboratory diagnosis (from media preparation till colony purification), and detection of anti-microbial resistance (MIC).

Drs Guido Ruggero Loria and Hany Ahmed are the scientific coordinators of the training course.

The ERFAN Dialogue will take place in English with simultaneous translation into French.
