As the administrating body of the ERFA-Network and on behalf of member partners, the Secretariat is responsible for implementation of the policies and activities of the scientific network.
Secretariat’s areas of action and responsibility include veterinary science, international relations, project design, administration and finance, fundraising, translation and interpretation.
The staff ensures coordination with relevant OIE Regional Representations; establishes relationship with the several international organizations operating in the areas of animal and human health and food security; promotes the role of the ERFAN in relevant fora; maintains formal relationships countries and partners; engages in fundraising activities and examines project proposals for funding.
The Office is responsible for fund-raising, core activity of this structure, exploring financial resources, identifying grants through calls for proposals, building relationships with private agencies and foundations.
The Secretariat staff supports the partners in future design, planning and submission the project proposals to various agencies of development.
The Network’s Secretariat works closely with Working Groups to ensure excellence and continuous improvement in scientific research.
